Blockchain Native

Blockchain native is an important differentiator of the On-Chain™ Index (OCI) platform. Being blockchain native means the operations of our products are choreographed by blockchain rules and methods. This means every transaction is fully documented, auditable, and immutable on the public ledger. With regard to fund assets, this means that what happened, when it happened, and how it happened is forever recorded, verifiable by anyone, and can not be changed or falsified. Blockchain uses well-understood and validated cryptographic operations to deliver this level of assurance and transparency, while simultaneously maintaining anonymity as never before experienced in the investment world.

Ethereum Tier-1

The OCI platform is built on the global Tier-1 Blockchain Ethereum. The Ethereum Blockchain is made of hundreds of thousands of independently operated compute resources that maintain the public ledger of transactions and coordinate the heavy computational work of validating them (exchange of Ether coin and layer-2 tokens). This massively distributed characteristic of Ethereum is valuable. It means that no individual entity controls the ownership data. The protocol that defines the behavior of the Ethereum Blockchain controls the data. That protocol is open to public review, and carefully maintained by a very large community of developers.

Smart Contract OpCode

Our platform utilizes Smart Contract OpCode, an inherent element of the Ethereum Blockchain that defines On-Chain operations. Once deployed, this immutable software program executes on distributed compute resources, ensuring complete transparency and determinism in managing investment processes. It actively and reliably handles the acquisition, holding, and timely return of funds. Furthermore, our platform actively ensures full auditability and immutability, enhancing transparency and security for users.

Real-time Status

A blockchain-native platform uses the blockchain to store and track data. This means the source of truth is the blockchain. It’s also where transactions happen, data changes, and value moves. Hence by definition the blockchain and the state of its data is real-time. The OCI platform passes this characteristic on to our investors. The truth about the status of the fund assets is always up to date. The data represented in the mobile app or Investor Portal is always nearly live, very close to real-time, and accurate.

Deterministic Behavior

Once the OCI investment fund is formed and deployed, the smart contract is in control. Deployment happens once investors have initiated the contract and have approved the directives. For OCI investors, this means they know exactly what will happen and when it will happen—leaving no ambiguity before and after. It’s all observable in real-time on the blockchain. This is novel in comparison to traditional funds where the lifecycle of investment operations is obfuscated by proprietary and private workflows.
